RM Tour Diary #146: Falcon Ridge Folk Festival

We had some terrific gigs leading up to Falcon Ridge.  First was Tuesday, where HERO OF THE DAY Hank Soto fixed Laurie's banjo, which apparently was injured on the way home from Woodyfest.  He had the tools, he had the skills, he even had the strings!  Thank you, Hank, and thank you Stony Creek NY for the warm welcome.  Then onto Lake George NY where the weather got apocalyptic after 4 songs, so we invited the audience onto the backstage for an intimate unplugged concert.  So fun!  Thank you Randy Valentino for the hard work and great sound.  And Lebanon NH was gorgeous, with a wonderful crowd.

Our performances at Falcon Ridge were a blast!  The Family Stage was a great way to start it off.  The Budgiedome was a fun unplugged homecoming.  The Sweet Harmony Workshop with our fabulously talented buddies We're About 9 and The Brilliant Inventions was a dream come true; we've all come out of the Emerging Artist Showcase at Falcon Ridge and are so grateful.  The main stage on Saturday night was something we'll never forget.  Joined by Fred Gillen, Jr. on Gulf Coast Highway, we were in heaven.  Carolann said goodbye and thank you to the audience in the classiest of ways, and I imagine there wasn't a dry eye on the hill, and I don't mean due to the rain.  Carolann invites anyone who wishes to stay in touch, or sign up on her e-mail list, to visit www.carolannsolebello.com.  Then there was the Gospel Workshop with Vance and Gandalf.  I wish we could do that again TOMORROW!

Our next shows are up in Nova Scotia, where our new bandmate Molly Venter performs with us for the first time!  Thank you everybody for all your support.
